Medical Description

Roll on caplet is an oral combination medicine used to relieve common cold symptoms such as nasal blockage, runny nose, sneezing, watery eyes, cough, fever and body aches. It contains paracetamol, pseudoephedrine and dextromethorphan hydrobromide. Paracetamol lowers fever and eases pain, pseudoephedrine reduces swelling inside the nose, and dextromethorphan reduces the cough reflex. These actions can make breathing and rest more comfortable while the cold settles. Roll on caplet is swallowed whole with water and used only as directed by a doctor. It treats symptoms, not the cause of a common cold.

How does this medicine work?

Paracetamol lowers the formation of substances involved in fever and pain. Pseudoephedrine narrows swollen blood vessels inside the nose, reducing stuffiness. Dextromethorphan acts in the brain to reduce the cough reflex. Together, these actions relieve several common cold symptoms without removing the infection itself.

In particular, do not use it with monoamine oxidase inhibitors or during the advised period after stopping them.
