Risperdal 2 MG Description

Risperdal 2 mg Tablet is used in the treatment of schizophrenia in adults and adolescents above 18 years of age and manic episodes in bipolar disorder type 1. It is also used to manage irritability a

nd aggressiveness in children with autistic disorders. This medicine contains risperidone that belongs to the atypical psychotropic group of medicines. Risperdal 2 mg balances the levels of chemicals in the brain that are responsible for behaviour, thoughts, and regulation of emotions. This improves symptoms like hallucinations, unusual thoughts, and behaviour. Risperdal 2 mg should be given with caution in elderly people as it may cause blood circulation problems in them and increase the risk of fatal outcomes. This medicine is not given to children less than 5 years of age. Risperdal tablets should be gradually tapered to avoid withdrawal symptoms or relapse of symptoms.
