Uses
- Ribs Tablet is used to relieve irritable bowel syndrome, peptic ulcers, and enterocolitis or swelling in the intestines, as per the CDSCO. It is also used to decrease anxiety and abdominal cramps.
Contraindications
- Patients who have hypersensitivity or a proven allergy to any ingredients in Ribs Tablet should avoid the medication. In addition, individuals with the following conditions should avoid this medication:
- Glaucoma (a condition of eye)
- Benign prostate enlargement or prostate gland enlargement
- Bladder neck blockage or interruption

- You are due for surgery or dental treatment, please inform your doctor of the procedure before using Ribs Tablet as Ribs tablet enhances the effects of several anaesthetics.
- You are 65 or older, consume Ribs Tablet with care. There's a chance you'll experience more negative effects.
- You have ever had kidney or liver illness.
Directions for Use

Interactions
Interactions with other medicines
- Ribs Tablet's effects might alter if you take other medications or over-the-counter treatments simultaneously. It may lead to an increased risk of adverse effects or cause your medication to stop working effectively.
- As it contains Chlordiazepoxide, do not use Ribs Tablet with opioid-like medications. Extreme sedation from opioids along with Chlordiazepoxide can lead to coma, respiratory depression, or death. So, inform your doctor before consuming Ribs Tablet.
- Speak to your doctor about all of your medications, vitamins, and herbal supplements. The following may interact with Ribs Tablet:
- Pain Relievers including Acetaminophen
- Atypical antipsychotics like Clozapine
- Antiemetic agents such as Droperidol
- Pain medicines including Fentanyl
- Antidepressants such as Fluoxetine
- Anticonvulsants like Hydantoins
- Salicylates including Aspirin
Interactions with food items
- There might be few interactions between Ribs Tablet and foods. Hence, your doctor might prescribe you to consume the tablets orally before meals, preferably on an empty stomach.
- Avoid caffeine consumption since it has a higher chance to interact with the medicine.
