Restin 0.25 mg Tab is used in treating anxiety. Restin 0.25 mg Tab boosts the action of a chemical messenger called GABA. GABA suppresses the excessive or abnormal activity of nerve cells in the brain. Alprazolam is the active ingredient of Restin 0.25 mg Tab.
Anxiety is the feeling of extreme fear or uneasiness. Anxiety disorder can cause symptoms such as feeling tense, restless, rapid heartbeat or sweating. But for those with anxiety disorders, it can be overwhelming. The fear is not temporary. It could get worse with time. The symptoms can interfere with daily activities.

Contraindications

If you suspect an overdose of Restin 0.25 mg Tab, contact your doctor immediately or rush to the nearest emergency department. Restin 0.25 mg Tab overdose symptoms are changes in appetite, difficulty concentrating, drowsiness, dry mouth, headache, constipation/ difficulty in passing stools, difficulty in passing urine, irritability, lightheadedness, and unusual talkativeness.
Missed a Dose
If you missed taking your dosage of Restin 0.25 mg Tab, take it as soon as you remember. If it's time for your next dose skip the missed dose and follow the regular dosing schedule. Do not take two doses of Restin 0.25 mg Tab.

Restin 0.25 mg Tab increases the action of a chemical messenger called gamma-aminobutyric acid(GABA). GABA suppresses the excessive or abnormal activity of nerve cells in the brain. Thus, helping in relaxing your nerves, calming you down, reducing the symptoms of restlessness, tiredness, feeling irritable, or difficulty concentrating, and improves your ability to deal with problems.
Interactions
Interactions with other medicines
- Seek medical advice if you are on HIV/ AIDS medicines such as Abacavir. Taking Restin 0.25mg Tab on HIV medicines can cause severe adverse reactions
- Seek medical advice if you are on medicines that fight vomiting or psychiatric disorders, like amisulpride. Taking Restin 0.25 mg Tab on such medicines can cause serious reactions.
- Seek medical advice if you are on medicines for depression, such as amitriptyline. Taking Restin 0.25 mg Tab on such medicines can cause severe adverse reactions.
- Inform your doctor if you are on any medicines before taking Restin 0.25 mg Tab. Do not take any medication without informing your doctor.
