Description
Rejumet Tablet is a combination medicine used to treat Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus. It contains Metformin Hydrochloride, a Biguanide and Vitamin B12, also known as cyanocobalamin. It is used to treat Di
abetes Mellitus when diet and exercise do not result in optimum control of blood glucose levels. Vitamin B12 acts as a nerve protector and helps relieve symptoms of tingling numbness which is commonly seen in patients with diabetes. You can take this tablet with or without food. Do not stop the medications abruptly without consulting the doctor. If you observe any severe side effects, inform the doctor immediately.

How Does It Work?
Directions for Use
- Rejumet Tablet is to be taken orally as directed by the physician.
- Do not break, crush or chew the tablet
- Swallow the tablet with a glass of water
- You can take it with or without food
- Do not take more than the recommended dose
Interactions
Interactions with other medicines
- NSAIDs, including selective cyclo-oxygenase (COX) II inhibitors, ACE inhibitors, angiotensin II receptor antagonists and diuretics along with Metformin, can cause lactic acidosis and increase the risk of kidney failure...
- Use of Carbonic anhydrase inhibitors like Topiramate, zonisamide, acetazolamide or dichlorphenamide. with metformin increases the risk of lactic acidosis
- Ranolazine, vandetanib, dolutegravir, and cimetidine with metformin increase the risk of lactic acidosis
- Absorption of cyanocobalamin can be reduced with Para-aminosalicylic acid, colchicine, biguanides, neomycin, cholestyramine, potassium chloride, methyldopa, and cimetidine
