Medical Description
Refzil O dry suspension is an oral antibiotic used for selected bacterial infections of the respiratory tract, ears, throat, skin, soft tissues and urinary tract. It contains cefprozil, a cephalosporin medicine that stops susceptible bacteria from building their protective cell wall. Without that wall, the bacteria break down and the infection can clear. The dry suspension is prepared as directed and given by mouth with the measuring device supplied with the pack, with or without food as advised. It does not treat viral colds or flu.
