Medical Description
Razel 10 Tablet is a statin, a type of medicine that lowers cholesterol and reduces the risk of heart disease. It contains rosuvastatin as its active ingredient. Cholesterol is a fatty substance that can build up in your blood vessels, causing them to narrow. This can lead to a heart attack or stroke.
Most people with high cholesterol do not feel sick, but stopping your medicine can increase your cholesterol levels and put you at a higher risk of heart disease and stroke. It is important to have your cholesterol levels checked regularly.
Razel 10 Tablet is only one part of a treatment plan that should also include a healthy diet, regular exercise and quitting smoking. You can eat normally while taking this medicine but try to avoid foods that are high in fat. Crevast 10 tablet, Rxtor 10 tablet, Zyrova 10 and Rosycap 10 are some other medicines containing rosuvastatin as the main component.
Common side effects of Razel 10 Tablet include muscle pain, weakness, nausea, headache and stomach pain. These are usually mild and go away after a short time. However, see your doctor if they persist or if you notice any yellowing of your eyes or get repeated or unexplained muscle pains.
Razel 10 Tablet should not be used by people with liver disease or by pregnant or breastfeeding women. Diabetic patients should monitor their blood sugar levels while taking this medicine, as it may cause an increase in blood sugar levels.
