Pulmonext Kit Strip Of 20 Tablets
Description
Pulmonext tablet is a combination medication that contains ambrisentan and tadalafil as its main ingredients. It is prescribed for pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH), a condition characterized by high blood pressure in the arteries transporting blood from the heart to the lungs. It helps improve quality of life and exercise capacity while also delaying disease progression. It is an endothelin receptor blocker, relaxing and widening the blood vessels in the lungs by inhibiting endothelin, a substance that causes vessel constriction. This mechanism reduces blood pressure in the pulmonary arteries.
It is contraindicated in patients with severe liver disease or a known allergy to the medication. Common side effects may include peripheral oedema, nasal congestion, sinusitis, and flushing. Dizziness can also occur, which may affect activities requiring mental focus. Take this medication as prescribed by your doctor, preferably at the same time each day. Swallow whole without crushing or chewing, with or without food.
Consult your doctor about all current medications, as Pulmonext may interact with other drugs. Potential interactions with other medications should be assessed by a healthcare provider. While no specific food interactions are known, consult your doctor for tailored advice. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and out of reach of children. Dispose of unused medication responsibly. In case of overdose, seek immediate medical attention. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember unless it is almost time for your next dose. Do not double the dose.
