Medical Description
Proderm cream is used for short-term relief of selected inflamed skin conditions, including dermatitis, psoriasis and atopic dermatitis, when prescribed. It contains a combination of betamethasone, gentamicin and iodochlorhydroxyquinoline. Betamethasone is a strong steroid that calms skin inflammation, gentamicin acts against susceptible bacteria, and iodochlorhydroxyquinoline helps limit certain microorganisms on the skin. Apply Proderm cream to affected skin only as prescribed, because strong steroid creams are intended for short-term use under medical supervision. It is not suitable for every rash, because the cause of the skin problem must be assessed.
