Paxotus plus is a prescription medication that is a combination of two chemical salts. The active ingredients present in the medication are Paroxetine and Clonazepam. Paxotus plus is used in the trea

tment of depression. Depression is a mental health condition in which a person experiences excessive feelings of sadness, loss of interest, weight gain or loss, loss of energy, and can also have suicidal thoughts. The mode of action of Paxotus plus is that it increases the levels of certain chemicals in the brain and calms down the excessive and abnormal activity of the brain nerve cells. The medication alleviates symptoms seen in depression and influences mood, personality and social behaviour. The doctor’s directions for use of Paxotus plus tablets should be strictly followed. It is essential to maintain the dose and schedule of this medicine. The doctor should approve any changes in dose.   • If you are taking medications that belong to the monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOI) class or have taken them in the last 14 days.
  • If you are taking a medication known as Thioridazine that is used to treat schizophrenia.
  • If you are taking a medication called as Pimozide that is used to treat psychosis, a mental health disorder.
