Mode of Action

How Does It Work?

This medication contains two active ingredients, Paroxetine and Clonazepam. These salts belong to a group of medicines called antidepressants. Clonazepam influences the levels of a certain chemical messenger known as gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA). It acts by increasing GABA levels that control the electrical disturbances in the brain. Paroxetine influences serotonin hormone levels that impact a person's overall personality. Serotonin is also known as the feel-good hormone and affects mood and social behaviour. The increase in the levels of these chemical messengers alleviates the symptoms seen in depression and improves a person's overall behaviour and mood.
