Medical Description

Normaxin Cc Tablet is used to treat the symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome and other conditions that are related to irritable bowel syndrome like chronic irritable colon, spastic constipation, mucous colitis, and spastic colitis. This medicine facilitates easy passage of gas from the stomach, which relieves stomach discomfort. Normaxin Cc Tablet also prevents sudden muscle spasms and this helps to relieve stomach pain. Normaxin Cc Tablet consists of a combination of two drugs that are Mebeverine and Chlordiazepoxide. Children and adolescents below the age of 18 years should not be given Normaxin Cc Tablet due to insufficient data related to their safety and efficacy.

  • Normaxin Cc Tablet must be taken on an empty stomach with a fibre-rich diet, avoiding oily or spicy foods. Make sure to stay hydrated while taking Normaxin Cc Tablet.

Storage and disposal

Overdose

In cases of overdose, CNS excitability may be observed. You may experience neurological and cardiovascular symptoms as side effects. Missed a Dose

Patients who miss one or more doses should continue with their regular dosage. They should not take the missed dosage plus the regular dosage.

How Does It Work?

Normaxin Cc Tablet is a combination of two drugs named Chlordiazepoxide and Mebeverine. Mebeverine relieves stomach cramps and intestinal cramps. Moreover, it also helps to relax the muscles in the stomach and intestines by acting as an antispasmodic, thus slowing the natural movements of the gut. Whereas on the other hand, Chlordiazepoxide being a benzodiazepine, suppresses excessive or abnormal behaviour of the brain's nerve cells by increasing the action of a chemical messenger (GABA).
