Directions for Use
- Always take the Nextril Tablet exactly as directed by your doctor.
- You can take Nextril Tablets with or without food.
- Swallow Nextril Tablet with a glass of water. Do not chew or crush it.
- Read the label instructions carefully.
- Dosage should be taken in recommended amounts at a particular time in a day to get maximum benefits and desired clinical effect.

Interactions with other medicines
- To avoid undesirable side effects associated with interaction, inform your doctor about all medicines and supplements you are currently taking.
- Nextril Tablet can cause adverse reactions when taken with the following medicines:
- Interaction with other antipsychotic medicines and benzodiazepines like lorazepam diazepam can increase the risk and severity of side effects.
- Interaction with anticoagulant medicines like Acenocoumarol can increase the anticoagulant's serum concentration, leading to increased chances of bleeding.
- Interaction with tricyclic antidepressants like Amoxapin, Amitriptyline can cause Central Nervous system Depressant effects.
Interactions with food items
- Unless your physician suggests, there is no need to avoid any particular type of food or drink when taking a Nextril Tablet. Some may suggest avoiding caffeine-containing beverages like coffee & tea as they may reduce the calming effect of this medicine.
