Mode of Action of Nextop 50 MG
How Does It Work?
Nextop is in a class of medications called anticonvulsants. This medicine controls seizures or fits by decreasing the abnormal and excessive activity of the nerve cells in the brain.
Directions for Use of Nextop 50 MG
The recommended dosage of Nextop is via oral route. You should consult a doctor for the exact dosage. The tablet should be swallowed whole with water. Do not crush or chew the tablet.
Interactions of Nextop 50 MG
Interactions with other medicines
Nextop action may get decreased in presence of other antoconvulsants like phenytoin, carbamazepine, valproic acid and lamotrigine. Monitoring for metabolic acidosis is needed when this medicine is proscribed with other metabolic anhydrase inhibitors. This medicine decrease the effect of hormonal contraceptives (birth control pills, patches, rings, implants, or injections); hydrochlorothiazide; lithium; Metformin use along with topiramate requires monitoring for metabolic acidosis....
