Nexito 15mg Tablet is a prescription medication primarily used to treat depression and other mental health conditions like anxiety, panic disorder, and obsessive-compulsive disorder(OCD). Nexito Tablet contains Escitalopram 15mg as a key ingredient that helps recover from depression by improving mood and relieving anxiety and tension. Escitalopram belongs to a class of medicine called Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors (SSRIs), which act on the brain to prevent the re-uptake of serotonin(a hormone). Serotonin modulates various behavioural processes, including mood, anger, memory, fear, appetite, stress response, etc.
Nexito 15mg Tablet can be taken with or without food or as prescribed. It should be swallowed whole with a full glass of water. The dosage and frequency of the medication will be decided by the doctor depending on your symptoms and the severity of your condition.
Some common side effects of the Nexito 15mg Tablet include nausea, fatigue, increased sweating, difficulty in sleeping, decreased sexual drive, delayed ejaculation, and difficulties achieving orgasm in women. If any of these side effects get worse or last for a longer duration of time, consult a doctor. Talk to your doctor before starting or stopping the medicine or even increasing its dosage.

Contraindications
- It is contraindicated if you are allergic to the ingredients in this combination.
- It is contraindicated if you are suffering from severe liver disease, as the liver metabolises these drugs.
- It is contraindicated if you have a history of fits or have electroconvulsive treatment.
- It is contraindicated if you are a glaucoma patient as this medicine can increase the pressure in the eye.
- This drug is not recommended if you are pregnant and lactating.

Directions for Use
- Always use the Nexito 15mg Tablet when directed by your doctor. Read the prescription pamphlet carefully before using it. Talk to your doctor if you are unclear about the instructions.
- Take this medicine with or without food or as prescribed.
- Take the tablet orally, all at once, with a whole glass of water, preferably at the same time. Don't crush, break or chew it.
- Don’t consume more than the recommended or prescribed dose. Talk to your doctor if you feel the currently prescribed dosage isn't relieving your symptoms effectively.
- Do not abruptly stop taking medicine without consulting your doctor, as it may cause withdrawal symptoms.
Storage and disposal
Store Nexito 15mg Tablet at room temperature in a cool and dry area, away from sunlight. Keep the medication away from animals and children in a locked cabinet. Do not remove the drug from its packet and store it within its original packaging.
DISPOSAL- Do not flush medications down the toilet or throw them into the dustbin unless instructed. Medication disposed of in this manner may pollute the environment. Properly dispose of the medicine when it is expired or no longer required. Consult your pharmacist or local waste disposal company.

Overdose
Overdose of Nexito 15mg Tablet can cause poisoning or serious side effects. It can cause symptoms like dizziness, nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, fast or pounding heartbeat, seizures, coma (loss of consciousness for a while). If you think you have taken an overdose, seek emergency medical treatment or contact the doctor immediately.
Missed a Dose
If you missed a dose, check the information leaflet given with the medication or ask your doctor about the same. Take the next dose of Nexito 15mg Tablet as and when you remember it. If it is time for the next dose, take that dose and skip the missed dosage. Do not take an extra dose of Nexito Tablet to compensate for the missed dosage.

How Does It Work?
Nexito 15mg Tablet contains Escitalopram as a key ingredient. Escitalopram is a drug belonging to a class called Selective Serotonin Re-uptake inhibitors (SSRIs). Serotonin or 5-hydroxytryptamine (5-HT) modulates various behavioural processes, including mood, anger, memory, fear, appetite, stress response, sexuality, addiction, etc. Increased serotonin levels directly improve the mood and relieve the user’s symptoms. It acts by preventing the re-uptake of serotonin by the nerve cells, thereby increasing its concentration. This process results in an increased effect of serotonin in the central nervous system.
Interactions
Interactions with other medicines
- You should consult your doctor prior to having this medicine and tell about all the medications you are taking as there is a chance of drug interaction with the following medicine -
- Antidepressants like Imipramine, desipramine may interact with escitalopram and may lead to very high blood pressure.
- Clarithromycin, Ketoconazole, sulfonylureas, Diuretics and other medicine can exaggerate side effects or may make you feel drowsy.

- Food doesn’t influence the effect of Nexito 15mg Tablet. Consult your doctor about any supplements or herbal drinks you are currently taking before using Szetalo Tablet.
