- Treats depressive disorder
- Treats anxiety disorder
Contraindications
- If you have taken MAOIs (Monoamine oxidase inhibitors) within the last 14 days.
- If you have angle-closure glaucoma (eye condition).
- If you have renal impairment or are on medication for kidney disorders.
- If you have epilepsy or are receiving electroconvulsive treatment, it may increase your risk of having a seizure.
- If you have heart problems, it can cause the heartbeat to speed up or change.
- If you have a low heart rate and symptoms of diarrhoea and vomiting.
- If you are a diabetic patient, it becomes difficult to maintain stable blood sugar levels.

- Newcita tablets can be taken with or without food, although it is best to take them at a fixed time every day.
- Take Newcita with a glass of water and swallow them as a whole.

Interactions
Interactions with other medicines
- If Estradiol and Newcita medicines are taken simultaneously, the desired effect of contraceptive tablets will not be achieved. Newcita reduces the effectiveness of estradiol leading to contraceptive failures
- If Amikacin is taken with Newcita tablet, you may have nausea or vomiting, increased or reduced urine, abrupt weight gain, and fluid retention. If you have kidney problems, this interaction is more likely.
- If Furosemide and Newcita medicines are taken together, you may have nausea or vomiting, increased or reduced urine, abrupt weight gain, and fluid retention. This interaction is more likely to happen in elderly people who already have kidney disease.
- Chloramphenicol and Newcita when used simultaneously, the anticipated effect will not be achieved.
Interactions with food items
- Newcita 10 Tablet is said to interact with grapefruit juice. So ensure to avoid alcohol and grapefruit juice while taking this medication.
