Nebicard 5 MG Description
Nebicard 5 tablet contains nebivolol as the active ingredient. This medicine helps in lowering high blood pressure, thus helping reduce the risk of serious heart disease and stroke. It relieves chest pain and regularizes heartbeats. This medicine is also advised in elderly patients as a combination therapy for pumping disorders of the heart (chronic heart failure).
This medicine is not advised in women who are pregnant or lactating. This medicine is to be taken in dosage and duration as prescribed by your doctor. This medicine is to be taken cautiously if you are already taking a blood pressure-lowering medicine, medicines to treat diabetes or overactive thyroid. - In patients above 70 years of age, it can also be used to manage a condition of mild to moderate chronic heart failure (a condition wherein the heart doesn’t pump a sufficient amount of blood to the bodily organs) along with standard therapy....
Contraindications of Nebicard 5 MG
- If you are allergic to the active ingredient nebivolol or any other ingredients in this tablet.
- If you have any pre-existing health condition such as liver or kidney problem, any kind of heart disorder, breathing problem like asthma, low blood pressure, etc.
- If you are experiencing heartbeats slower than regular (bradycardia).
- If you have poor blood circulation.
- If you are consuming other medicines with ingredients floctafenine (an anti-inflammatory agent) and sultopride (used to treat brain-related disorder) and heart medications.
- If you are suffering from excessive acid production in the body due to the body's inability to excrete acid/imbalance in the body's acid-base levels (metabolic acidosis).
