Clavam 625 tablet is a combination antibiotic containing amoxicillin and clavulanic acid. This medication tackles bacterial infections in the lungs, airways, ears, urinary tract, skin, bones, joints, soft tissues, and even teeth. It works by combining the action of its two components. Amoxicillin kills the bacteria responsible for infections.
It is important to follow the prescribed dosage and duration of the treatment with this medicine as decided by your doctor. The dose and duration may vary depending on the severity of the infection and other individual parameters. Even if you feel better within a few days, do not stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor.
Augmentine Duo 625, Amoxyclav 625mg, Moxikind Cv 625mg, and Moxclav 625mg are a few more tablets including amoxicillin and clavulanic acid.
Before starting this tablet, inform the doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding and about your detailed medical history.

- If you have a history of severe allergic reactions to any other antibiotic, such as cephalosporins, monobactam, or carbapenem.
- If you have experienced liver problems & jaundice with this medicine before.

- You have diarrhoea and abdominal pain even after stopping treatment with this medicine.
- You have difficulty passing urine.
Directions for Use
- Swallow the Clavam 625 Tablet whole with a sufficient amount of water.
- Do not crush, break or chew the tablet.
- Take Clavam 625 Tablet after meals to avoid stomach problems.

- Store it at or below 25°C in the original package to protect it from light and moisture.
- Keep the medicine out of the reach of children and pets.

Interactions with other medicines
- To avoid any possible interaction, tell your doctor about all the medicines, supplements, or herbal supplements you are currently taking or might take.
- Especially if you are taking medicines to treat high blood pressure, heart failure, high/abnormal cholesterol levels, blood thinners, anti-infectives, anti-diabetics, anti-asthmatics, painkillers, immunomodulatory medicines, or medicines for brain-related disorders.
- There is an increased risk of bleeding when taken with medicines used to thin the blood, like warfarin and acenocoumarol. It is recommended to monitor blood tests, such as PT-INR, regularly.
- Increased side effects when taken with methotrexate, which is used in the treatment of certain forms of cancer.
- Medicines used to treat gout, such as allopurinol or probenecid, and those used to modify the immune response during organ transplant, like mycophenolate mofetil, should be used cautiously with the Clavam 625 Tablet.
