Contraindications

If you are allergic to amoxicillin or any other ingredient of Mox 250mg capsule.
If you have a history of allergic reactions to Penicillins or Cephalosporins.

Can I take Mox 250mg capsule during pregnancy?

There is limited information about the effect of the Mox 250mg capsule in pregnancy. Your doctor will prescribe you this medicine only if considered needed and safe. Do not self-medicate. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or think you may be pregnant.

Breast Feeding

Can I take Mox 250mg capsule while breastfeeding?

Amoxicillin in Mox 250mg capsule passes into the breastmilk in small amounts and can harm your baby. It can cause diarrhoea and fungal infection of the mucous membrane in the breastfed baby. Inform your doctor if you observe such side effects in your baby.

Driving

Can I drive if I have consumed Mox 250mg capsule?

You may experience allergic reactions, dizziness or fits which can influence your ability to drive or operate machines. Hence, caution is advised while driving or operating heavy machines.

Alcohol

Can I consume alcohol with Mox 250mg capsule?

Although there is no known interaction with alcohol along with this medicine. However, you should avoid drinking large quantities of alcohol while taking this medicine, as alcohol may worsen the side effects and impair your recovery from the infection.

You had an allergy to Penicillin's, Cephalosporins or are prone to allergies.
You have glandular fever (symptoms includes fever, extreme tiredness, sore throat and swollen glands).
You have any existing health conditions like liver or kidney problems.
You have difficulty urinating.
You develop watery, bloody diarrhoea, fever even if this occurs days after stopping this medicine, immediately seek medical help.
You are on any other medicines like other anti-infectives or gout medicines etc.
You experience any other infection while on this medicine.
