Montair 10 tablet is an anti-allergic medicine used for the treatment of asthma and other allergic conditions such as a runny or blocked nose, watery eyes, itching, etc. It contains montelukast as its main component. This medicine works by inhibiting the action of a natural chemical substance, leukotrienes, responsible for allergic conditions. By blocking leukotrienes, Montelukast improves asthma symptoms, helps control asthma and improves seasonal allergy symptoms. Montair 10 tablet should be taken as directed by the doctor and in doses and duration as prescribed. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding and about all the medicines and supplements you take and all the conditions or diseases you suffer from before starting this medicine.

- Montair 10 mg tablet is not meant to treat acute asthma attacks.
- This medicine is not recommended for use in patients below the age of 18 years.

Missed a Dose
- You should never miss your dose of antibiotics, as it may lead to treatment failure.
- If you missed any dose of Montair 10 mg tablet take it as soon as you remember.
- If it's time for your next dose, then skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dose schedule.
- Do not take a double dose of medicine to compensate for the missed one.

Interactions with other medicines
- You should always tell the doctor if you are taking any other medicines, herbal preparation and supplements to avoid any interaction.
- You should be cautious when taken along with phenytoin or phenobarbital used in treating epilepsy and rifampicin used to treat tuberculosis and some other infections.
- You may experience increased side effects when taken along with gemfibrozil used in treating high lipid levels in the blood.
