Misopt Eye drops is used to reduce the pressure in the eye (ocular hypertension) in adults. Misopt eye drops contain dorzolamide and timolol as their active ingredient. This medicine acts by reducing
the pressure within the eye. If the eye condition is left untreated, it can lead to serious damage to the eyeball. Inform your doctor if you have any medical conditions like lung or heart diseases. Misopt eye drops should not be used in children below 18 years of age. Avoid contaminating the tip of the bottle, use it within 4 weeks of opening the drops. Avoid using contact lenses while on this medicine.

Misopt eye drops is used to treat high pressure within the eye in adults.
Contraindications of Misopt Eye Drops 5ml
- If you are allergic to dorzolamide, timolol or any of the component Misopt eye drops.
- If you have lung condition such as asthma, chronic lung disease (which may cause difficulty in breathing or chronic cough).
- If you have heart disease such as heart blockage, heart failure, decreased heart rate.
- If you have kidney failure or acidosis with increase chloride ions.

Mode of Action of Misopt Eye Drops 5ml
How Does It Work?
- Misopt eye drops contains timolol and dorzolamide. They work by decreasing the raised intraocular (inside the eye).
- Dorzolamide acts by decreasing the aqueous humour secretion and thus decreasing the sodium and fluid flow.
- Timolol acts by decreasing the aqueous humour (transparent water-like fluid) production within the eye thereby lowering the fluid pressure built up within your eye.
Directions for Use of Misopt Eye Drops 5ml
- Use this medicine as instructed by your doctor.
- Follow directions carefully & do not miss doses.
- Wash your hands thoroughly before and after applying.
- Close your eyes for 2-3 minutes and do not blink or squeeze.
- Avoid touching your eyes with the dropper and it must be kept clean.
- Wipe any excess liquid from your face with a tissue.
- Use the exact number of drops recommended.
