Precautions and Warnings

Pregnancy

Pregnancy

Do not use Minym gel if you are pregnant unless your doctor tells you to. This group of medicines can affect a baby's teeth and bones. Talk to your doctor about safer options.

Breast Feeding

Breast Feeding

Check with your doctor before using Minym gel while breastfeeding, as there is limited information on its use during this time.

Driving

Driving

Minym gel does not affect your ability to drive or use machines.

Alcohol

Alcohol

Alcohol does not interact with this skin gel. You can use it whether or not you drink alcohol.

Directions for Use

Minym gel is for external use only. Cleanse and dry your face, then spread a thin layer over the whole area that tends to break out, not just on visible spots, or as directed by your doctor. Keep it away from your eyes, mouth and nose, and rinse with water if it gets there by accident. Wash your hands after applying it.

Storage and disposal

Store Minym gel at room temperature below 25 degrees Celsius, in its original tube kept tightly closed. Keep it away from direct sunlight and heat. Keep it out of the reach of children. Do not use it after the expiry date, and dispose of any leftover gel safely.

Quick Tips

  • Spread a thin layer over the whole acne-prone area, not just on spots.
  • Wait for the gel to dry before applying makeup.
  • Use sunscreen daily, as your skin may become more sun-sensitive.
  • Do not share your medicine with others.

Dosage

Overdose

Using extra Minym gel may cause skin dryness, redness or peeling rather than any greater benefit. If someone swallows it by accident, or if you think you have used too much of this medicine, contact your doctor immediately or visit the nearest hospital.

Missed a Dose

If you forget to apply Minym gel, apply it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule. Do not apply a double dose to make up for the missed one.

How does this medicine work?

Acne happens when pores get blocked and bacteria build up, leading to red, swollen spots. Minym gel lowers the number of acne-causing bacteria on the skin and calms the redness and swelling. This helps clear existing spots and reduces new breakouts.

Interactions

Interactions with other medicines

Some medicines can change the way other medicines work. Because Minym gel is applied to the skin, little enters the body, but skin reactions can still add up. Tell your doctor about all the medicines, vitamins or herbal products you are using. In particular, mention other acne treatments such as peeling products, and any antibiotics or vitamin A type medicines taken by mouth, as these can add to dryness or irritation.
