Mintop Tab tablet contains minoxidil as its active ingredient and is prescribed for managing severe hypertension. It helps lower high blood pressure by relaxing the blood vessels. Mintop Tab tablet reduces resistance in the blood vessels of the arms and kidneys, improving blood flow to the arms while maintaining stable blood flow and filtration rate in the kidneys.

Uses of Mintop Tab 2.5 MG
Mintop Tab tablet is used to treat severe high blood pressure.
Contraindications of Mintop Tab 2.5 MG
- If you are allergic to minoxidil or any of the other ingredients of Mintop Tab tablet.
- If your high blood pressure is caused by hormones from a tumour (phaeochromocytoma), usually near the kidneys.
- If you are pregnant or trying to become pregnant.
- If you have heart failure (you may feel breathless, wheezy or tired, and your ankles may swell up).
- If you have ever had a heart attack.
Side effects of Mintop Tab 2.5 MG
- Salt and water retention (ankles may become puffy, rings may feel tight, or you may gain weight).
- Elevated heart rate.
- Increased hair growth.
- Dizziness, particularly when standing up.
- Wheezing, breathlessness, and fatigue, especially if you already have a weak heart.
- Angina (typically presenting as chest pain) for the first time; if you already experience angina, it may worsen.

- Inform your doctor if you gain weight, as it could be due to excess fluid in your body. Your doctor will monitor your fluid and electrolyte (salt) levels.
- You may notice increased hair growth (hypertrichosis) after starting treatment; this usually appears on the face but may subside with continued treatment. This side effect is reversible after stopping treatment, but it may take one to six months....
- Your doctor will want to conduct regular checks on your blood pressure and overall health. You should also have occasional checks on your heart.
