Metlin LS tablets are a combination of medications used to treat adults' peripheral or central neuropathic pain. The medication mainly decreases the activity of the cells and ions, which induces pain

. The medication increases the level of a chemical messenger in the brain and protects the nerve fibres from damage. Do not take more than the prescribed dose. Take the medication in the dose and for the duration advised by your doctor
Do not chew, crush or break the tablet in half
Swallow the tablet as a whole with a glass of water

Interactions with other medicines

Do not use this medication with other serotonergic agents
Avoid this medication if you are prescribed chlorpropamide, as it may increase the risk of severe side effects
Using this medication with antacids can cause low effects of this drug
Nortriptyline should be used cautiously when administered with buprenorphine, as it increases the risk of serotonin syndrome
Nortriptyline may decrease the antihypertensive effect
An increase in the rate of metabolism of nortriptyline is observed when given with barbiturates
Co-administration of nortriptyline with sympathomimetic agents should be avoided
Valproic acid increases the plasma concentration of nortriptyline
Pregabaline, when taken with lorazepam, may result in potentiation of the effects of lorazepam
