Metabolin Injection is a prescription medication primarily used for the management of the anaemia associated with renal failure. Anaemia is a condition in which there is a lack of healthy red blood c

ells to carry adequate oxygen to the body's tissues. In some countries, Metabolin Injection is also used to treat senile and postmenopausal osteoporosis. Postmenopausal osteoporosis is a condition in which bones become fragile after the cessation of the menstrual cycles. Metabolin Injection contains Nandrolone as an active ingredient. Nandrolone belongs to a group of medicines called anabolic steroids, which is a man-made version of the male sex hormone testosterone. Nandrolone has been shown to increase haemoglobin and red cell mass, which helps to treat anaemia. It also helps strengthen the bones which become thin and fragile due to osteoporosis. Metabolin Injection is generally given under the supervision of a healthcare provider and should not be self-administered at home. The dosage and duration of this medication will be decided by the doctor depending on disease symptoms and the severity of anaemia. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding before taking this injection.

Treatment of anaemia associated with renal failure.

Contraindications of Metabolin 25 MG

If you are allergic to any component of the Metabolin Injection, i.e., Nandrolone
If you have porphyria (an inherited blood condition)
If you are a male patient with carcinoma of the breast or with a known or suspected case of carcinoma of the prostate.
If you are a female patient having carcinoma of the breast with hypercalcemia.
If you have Nephrosis (degenerative disease of the kidney tubules) or the nephrotic phase of nephritis.
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Driving

Can I drive if I have consumed Metabolin Injection?

Can I consume alcohol with Metabolin Injection?

Alcohol consumption with Metabolin Injection is not advised. It increases the severity of side effects like nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, sedation, liver and kidney injury, etc. It can also worsen the condition of your disease.
