Metabolin 25 MG Description
Metabolin Injection is a prescription medication primarily used for the management of the anaemia associated with renal failure. Anaemia is a condition in which there is a lack of healthy red blood c
ells to carry adequate oxygen to the body's tissues. In some countries, Metabolin Injection is also used to treat senile and postmenopausal osteoporosis. Postmenopausal osteoporosis is a condition in which bones become fragile after the cessation of the menstrual cycles. Metabolin Injection contains Nandrolone as an active ingredient. Nandrolone belongs to a group of medicines called anabolic steroids, which is a man-made version of the male sex hormone testosterone. Nandrolone has been shown to increase haemoglobin and red cell mass, which helps to treat anaemia. It also helps strengthen the bones which become thin and fragile due to osteoporosis. Metabolin Injection is generally given under the supervision of a healthcare provider and should not be self-administered at home. The dosage and duration of this medication will be decided by the doctor depending on disease symptoms and the severity of anaemia. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding before taking this injection.

Contraindications of Metabolin 25 MG
- If you are allergic to any component of the Metabolin Injection, i.e., Nandrolone
- If you have porphyria (an inherited blood condition)
- If you are a male patient with carcinoma of the breast or with a known or suspected case of carcinoma of the prostate.
- If you are a female patient having carcinoma of the breast with hypercalcemia.
- If you have Nephrosis (degenerative disease of the kidney tubules) or the nephrotic phase of nephritis.
- If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

How Does It Work?
Metabolin Injection contains Nandrolone-25 mg as an active ingredient. Nandrolone belongs to a group of medicines known as Anabolic steroids, which are synthetic derivatives of testosterone. Therefore, the actions of anabolic steroids are similar to those of male sex hormones. Nandrolone has been shown to increase haemoglobin and red cell mass which helps to treat anaemia associated with chronic renal failure. Directions for Use of Metabolin 25 MG
- Metabolin Injection should be used as directed by your treating physician.
- Metabolin Injection should be administered under the supervision of a healthcare professional.
- Metabolin Injection is intended for deep intramuscular injection only, into the gluteal muscle preferably.
- Wash hands carefully before administering Metabolin Injection.
- Shake the vial before using it.
- Clean the site of injection with rubbing alcohol before injecting Metabolin Injection.
- Metabolin Injection should not be used unless prescribed by a doctor.
- Do not take Metabolin Injection with other medications without informing your doctor.
- Do not self-administer Metabolin Injection.

Storage and disposal of Metabolin 25 MG

Dosage of Metabolin 25 MG
Overdose
Metabolin Injection overdose or long-term non-medical use can lead to adverse effects, including suppression of testosterone and spermatogenesis, shrinking of testicles, decreased sex drive, and erectile dysfunction in men; and suppressed estrogen, progesterone, and ovulation, amenorrhea, and enlarged clitoris in women.
