Mepar Tablet contains a combination of mefenamic acid and paracetamol. It is used for the symptomatic relief of mild to moderate pain in various conditions such as dental, post partum, post operative

, migraine, sports injury, sprain and strain, etc. This medicine helps provide relief from pain by inhibiting the synthesis of chemical substance responsible for pain.

Contraindications of Mepar Tablets

If you are allergic to mefenamic acid, paracetamol or any of the ingredients of Mepar Tablet.
If you have asthma or experienced an asthmatic attack due to painkillers.
If you have inflammation, bleeding or ulcers in the stomach or intestine.
If you have renal disease.
This medicine should not be used for managing pain before, during and after coronary bypass surgery.
This medicine should not be used in the last trimester of pregnancy.

Pregnancy

Can I take Mepar Tablet during pregnancy?

Mepar Tablet should not be used in a pregnant woman, especially during 3rd trimester, as it can cause heart abnormalities in the growing foetus. It can also delay labour and can increase bleeding tendency in both mother and child if used during labour. This medicine should not be used during first two trimesters of pregnancy, unless advised by the doctor.

Breast Feeding

Can I take Mepar Tablet while breastfeeding?

The component of Mepar Tablet is excreated in small amount and may not cause any harm to the child. Thus, you can take this medicine while breastfeeding if prescribed by your doctor.

Driving

Can I drive if I have consumed Mepar Tablet?

If you experience dizziness, drowsiness, fatigue, and visual disturbances after taking this medicine, avoid driving.

Alcohol

Can I consume alcohol with Mepar Tablet?

You should avoid consuming alcohol with this medicine, as it may increase the risk of liver damage.
