Meloset 3 mg tablet is used to treat sleep disorders like insomnia, jet lag and is also helpful in regulating your sleep-wake cycle. It contains melatonin as its active component. This medicine will regularize the sleep cycle. You should take these tablets as directed by the doctor for the prescribed duration. It should be taken on an empty stomach. Before starting treatment with this medicine, inform your doctor about the medical conditions along with its medications. Meloset 3 tablets should not be used in children below 18 years of age.

- Meloset 3 tablet is used in the treatment of sleep disorders and also sleep-wake cycle is regulated. This medicine has melatonin as the main component. It helps you fall asleep.
- Do not take this medicine for any other condition other than that specified by your doctor. Take this medicine in the exact dose and duration as recommended. Do not take more than the prescribed dose.
- Before starting the Meloset tablet, consult your doctor if you are pregnant, planning on becoming pregnant, or breastfeeding, your doctor may recommend you to not use this medicine. It is not recommended for use in patients below 18 years.
- Dizziness, headache, sleepiness, nausea, or stomach pain may occur in some individuals with the use of this medicine. Inform your doctor if these effects bother you or do not go away.
- If you experience sleepiness after taking Meloset 3 mg tablet, it is recommended to avoid driving, operating heavy machinery, or performing any such tasks that require mental alertness. It is advised to limit alcohol intake as it may increase some side effects like headache or dizziness.
- Inform your doctor if you have an autoimmune disease, diabetes, problems of the liver, or kidney, or fits, and also inform about all your other medicines and your complete medical history.
- Use of certain medicines like fluvoxamine, estrogen, quinolones, cimetidine, carbamazepine, or rifampicin along with this medicine must be avoided. It can be used only on your doctor's recommendation.

Interactions with other medicines
- You should always tell the doctor if you are taking any other medicines, herbal preparations and supplements to avoid any interactions.
- Simultaneous use of Meloset 3 mg tablets along with fluvoxamine (used in the treatment of mental health) should be avoided.
- Medicines like Cimetidine (used to treat stomach problems), Estrogens (in contraceptives or hormone replacement therapy), Quinolones (used to treat bacterial infections), when used along with Meloset 3 mg tablets, may increase the effects of this tablet and should thus be used cautiously.
- Medicines like Carbamazepine (used to treat epilepsy or fits) or Rifampicin (antibiotic), when taken along with this medicine, may decrease the effect of Meloset tablets.
- Other medicines like warfarin, midazolam, zolpidem should be used with caution along with this medicine.
