Lynparza tablet is an anti-cancer medicine containing olaparib as its active ingredient. It works by a key repair mechanism in cancer cells, making it difficult for them to repair their damaged DNA and leading to their inability to grow and spread. This targeted approach helps in the treatment of certain types of cancer, particularly those with defects in DNA repair pathways.
Women of childbearing potential should not be pregnant when starting treatment with Lynparza tablet, and they should use effective contraception throughout the course of therapy and for one month after the last dose. Before initiating treatment, a pregnancy test is recommended for all women capable of becoming pregnant.
These precautions are necessary to prevent unintended pregnancies and ensure the safety of both the woman and potential fetus, as Lynparza tablet may pose risks to fetal development. - You have liver or kidney problems.
- You are taking any other medications or herbal supplements.
- You are pregnant, become pregnant, or plan to become pregnant. Lynparza tablet can harm an unborn baby and may cause loss of pregnancy (miscarriage).
- You are breastfeeding or plan to breastfeed.
- Females who can become pregnant should use effective birth control. (contraception) during treatment with Lynparza tablet and for 6 months after the last dose of Lynparza tablet.
- Males with female partners who are pregnant or able to become pregnant should use effective birth control (contraception) during treatment with Lynparza tablet and for 3 months after the last dose.
- Do not donate sperm during treatment and for 3 months after your last dose.
- Do not breastfeed during treatment and for 1 month after receiving the last dose.
Directions for Use
- Take Lynparza tablet as prescribed by your doctor
- Do not stop medication or modify dosage by yourself
- Report any side effects to your doctor immediately
- Swallow the tablets whole. Do not chew, crush, dissolve, or divide the tablets
- You can take the tablets with or without food
Storage and disposal
- Store at 20-25°C.
- Store in the original bottle to protect it from moisture and away from sunlight.
- Ensure that it is out of sight and reach of minors.
- Do not use the tablets after the expiry date.
