Lovir Tablet is an anti-viral medicine. The active ingredient present is aciclovir (acyclovir) and it helps in stopping or killing of growth of viruses. It should be taken as directed by the doctor a
nd in doses and duration as prescribed. Inform the doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or are breastfeeding and about your detailed medical history.

Lovir Tablet is used for the treatment of viral infections such as chickenpox, shingles, herpes infection, genital herpes (pain and blisters in private parts), etc.
Contraindications of Lovir 800 MG
If you are allergic to aciclovir or other ingredients present along with this medicine.

Can I take the Lovir Tablet during pregnancy?
You should consult your doctor before using the Lovir Tablet during pregnancy. Your doctor will prescribe you this medicine if considered essential after assessing the benefits over risks. If pregnancy detected while taking this medicine inform your doctor immediately.
Can I take the Lovir Tablet while breastfeeding?
Aciclovir passes into the breastmilk, thus consult your doctor before using the Lovir Tablet during breastfeeding.
Can I drive if I have consumed the Lovir Tablet?
Lovir Tablet may cause dizziness or sleepiness. It is recommended to avoid performing activites like driving and operating machines.
Can I consume alcohol with the Lovir Tablet?
There is no known interaction between alcohol and the Lovir Tablet. Consult your physician if you have a habit of regular drinking.

How Does It Work?
Lovir Tablet works by interfering in the virus structure by inhibiting the enzyme required for its multiplication that results in stopping the growth and killing the viruses.
Directions for Use of Lovir 800 MG
Lovir Tablet should be taken as directed by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole with a glass of water, do not cut, break or chew the medicine. It would be best if you took it at a fixed time for optimal results and should not consume it more than that prescribed by your doctor....

Interactions with other medicines
- Some medicines can affect the way the Lovir Tablet works or this medicine itself can reduce the effectiveness of other medicines taken at the same time.

- Medicines like probenecid (used in treating gout), cimetidine (used in treating stomach problems like ulcers), mycophenolate mofetil (used in Crohn's disease) should be used with caution along with this medicine....
- Lovir Tablet should be used with caution along with mycophenolate mofetil that is used for post-organ transplantation treatment.

- Store the Lovir Tablet in a dry place, protected from light, heat and moisture.
