Lobazam MD is an anti-epileptic (controls seizures or fits) that belongs to a group of medicines called Benzodiazepines. It is chemically composed of Clobazam. It is used to control seizures in parti

al seizures, secondary generalised tonic-clonic seizures, as well as in absence seizures. It relieves anxiety and produces a state of mild sedation. Anxiety is an unpleasant emotional state associated with discomfort and uneasiness. Tablet Lobazam should only be started by your doctor. Tablet Lobazam should be taken orally at the same time daily. The common side effects of the medicine are sedation, increased appetite, weight gain, dizziness and psychomotor skill impairment. Inform your doctor if you are a pregnant female or a nursing mother.

  • You have been taking medication for a long time. Lobazam has a risk of abuse and addiction, hence take the minimum dose possible and only for the specified duration, as advised by your doctor.
  • You experience any of the serious side effects like severe drowsiness, dizziness or shallow breathing or skin blistering, call for medical help immediately.
  • You want to stop the medication. Suddenly stopping the medicine is potentially fatal. The medicine has to be reduced gradually under the guidance of your doctor.
  • You start experiencing withdrawal symptoms like headache, nausea, restlessness, hallucinations or depression on stopping the medicine.
  • You are pregnant or planning to conceive or a lactating mother.
  • You develop an allergic reaction to the medicine.
  • You are consuming alcohol, taking any anxiety medicine, sleeping pills or marijuana.
  • You want to make any alterations to your prescription. Do not start, stop or change the medicines without a doctor's consultation.
