Medical Description
Lexanox mouth paste is used for recurrent mouth ulcers, also called aphthous ulcers, which can make eating and speaking painful. It contains amlexanox, an anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic medicine. Amlexanox reduces the release of substances involved in inflammation, helping lessen redness, swelling, burning and pain around the sore. Lexanox mouth paste is applied directly to the ulcer for local action and should not be swallowed.
