Lasix 10mg Ampoule Of 4ml Injection
Lasix 10 MG/ML Description
Lasix injection is a diuretic medicine. It is used to remove excess water or fluid from the body due to various medical conditions such as heart failure, pulmonary oedema (excess fluid in the lungs), and kidney and liver disease. Lasix injection contains a water pill furosemide.
It works by decreasing sodium, chloride and water absorption from the kidney, causing its excretion through urine. Thus, it reduces body swelling by secreting extra salt and water through urine, thus reducing fluid content in the body.
While giving the Lasix injection, it is crucial to keep an eye on the patient's fluid and electrolyte levels because excessive diuresis can result in electrolyte imbalances and dehydration. It is crucial to notify the healthcare provider as soon as any negative side effects occur. Patients may experience side effects like drowsiness, headaches, nausea, or electrolyte abnormalities.
