Uses
- This medicine may be used for the following clinical conditions
- Epilepsy- Patients with 13 years and above used either monotherapy or as adjuvant therapy for treating seizures associated with Lennox- Gastaout Syndrome( LGS- Characeterized by multiple seizures, regression, mental retardation and abnormal impulses from the nerves in the brain....
- Patients with 2 years to 12 years-either used as monotherapy or as adjuvant therapy for treating seizures, and seizures associated with Lennox Gastaout Syndrome.
- Bipolar disorder- 18 years and above
- Helps in prevention of depressive episodes with bipolar 1 disorder.
Contraindications
If you are allergic to this medicine or any other active ingredients present along with it.

Pregnancy

Can I take Lametec Od Tablet during pregnancy?

The use of this medicine may or may not be safe in pregnant women. If pregnancy detected while taking this medicine inform your doctor immediately. Do not stop taking your medicine until your doctor tells you to.
Breast Feeding

Can I take Lametec Od Tablet while breastfeeding?
A:
This medicine is not recommended to use in breast-feeding women as it was shown to pass in the milk production any may or may not show the side effects but close monitoring of the child may be necessary. Discuss your medical condition with your doctor before using this medicine.
Driving
Q:
Can I drive if I have consumed Lametec Od Tablet?
A:
It may make you feel sleepy or dizzy or may cause blurred vision, double vision, lack of muscle coordination or a depressed level of consciousness, especially when starting treatment or increasing the dose. Do not drive when taking this medicine.
Alcohol
Q:
Can I consume alcohol with Lametec Od Tablet?
A:
Do not drink alcohol while you are using this medicine as you will feel exhausted.
Other General Warnings
Talk to your doctor if
- If the patient with acute depressive or maniac episodes this medicine is not recommended to use.
- If you have observed any unusual signs like rashes
- If you have any behavioural changes or mood changes.
- If you have known history of kidney problems

Interactions
Interactions with other medicines
- Concomitant use of this medicine with antiepileptic medicines like phenytoin, phenobarbital etc may increase or decrease the blood levels and result in serious adverse effects.
- Concomitant use of hormonal contraceptives
- Tell your doctor about all the medicines, supplements, or herbals you are currently taking or might take helps to avoid any possible interaction.

Store in a dry place, protected from light.
Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
Dosage
Overdose
- An overdose of this medicine can lead to serious adverse effects and it should be immediately reported to your treating doctor or nearby hospital. Always carry the package of the Tablet along with you for easy assessment of the severity of an overdose....
Missed a Dose
You should never miss a dose of this medicine and take the missed dose as soon as possible. Never take two doses to compensate for the missed dose.
