Kofarest Drops 15ml is a medicine used for the thinning of mucus for the treatment of acute or chronic respiratory tract disorders. Due to its activity against the thick mucus, it is also known as mucolytic or an expectorant.

Uses

  • The ambroxol salt present in the composition of Kofarest Drops 15ml is used for the treatment of respiratory tract disorders associated with thick mucus
  • The uses of Kofarest Drops 15ml also include the treatment of abnormal mucus-related diseases, impaired mucus transport, chronic inflammatory pulmonary conditions, and bronchitis with bronchospasm asthma

Contraindications

Avoid taking the medicine in case you are allergic to ambroxol or bromhexine, you have ulcers in the intestine, there are hereditary disorders of carbohydrate tolerance or in case you suffer from fits.

Kofarest Drops 15ml shows interaction with the combination of this medicine with antibiotics like amoxicillin, cefuroxime, erythromycin, and doxycycline may lead to higher antibiotic concentration in the pulmonary tissue. It is suggested to avoid taking the drops in conjugation with cough-suppressing medicines. No other clinically-significant interaction with other medicines have been found for the drops.
