Description
Kemad 5mg tablets contain procyclidine as the active component. This medicine is given to treat patients with any kind of Parkinson's disease. Procyclidine blocks the excitatory action of certain sub
stances in the brain, thereby balancing the activity. Procyclidine can reduce several symptoms of Parkinson's, such as rigidity, loss of voluntary body movements, tremors, speech and writing difficulties, excessive salivation, sweating, and depression. This medication is only available on a doctor's prescription and should be used per the dose and for the duration prescribed by the doctor. Kemad tablet is not recommended if you are allergic to any of its ingredients or have untreated glaucoma, urinary retention, or blockage in your large intestine.

Directions for Use
- Please take Kemad 5mg tablets as directed by your doctor
- The tablets must be swallowed whole with a glass of water
- Do not crush, chew, or break the tablets
Interactions
Interactions with other medicines
- Concomitant administration of amantadine, antihistamines, phenothiazines, memantine, antidepressants, clozapine, disopyramide, and nefopam increases action of procyclidine
- Concomitant administration of tacrine reduces action of procyclidine
- Concomitant administration of neuroleptics reduces blood levels of procyclidine
- Concomitant administration of anticholinergic medicines causes dry mouth
- Concomitant administration of levodopa reduces activity of levodopa
- Concomitant administration of Cisapride, domperidone, or metoclopramide reduces effects of these medicines
- Concomitant administration of quinidine increases the action of quinidine
- Concomitant administration of paroxetine increases blood levels of procyclidine
