- History of severe hypersensitivity to dapagliflozin or metformin or other contents of the medicine
- Severe kidney problems or are on dialysis
- Acute or chronic metabolic acidosis (acid build up in the body) with or without coma
- Alcohol intoxication or alcoholism

- History of cardiac failure or heart attack

Justoza M helps manage diabetes by two different mechanisms of action of its two active molecules. Dapagliflozin works by eliminating excess glucose from the body and decreasing blood sugar levels. This glucose is eliminated through the urine. Metformin improves glucose tolerance. It works by lowering glucose synthesis in the liver, increasing insulin sensitivity, and lowering glucose absorption. Directions for Use of Justoza M 10/500mg Strip Of 10 Tablets
- Swallow the medication whole with water
- Always take Justoza M exactly as advised by your doctor, without chewing or crushing the tablet before swallowing it

Interactions with other medicines
- Justoza M should not be combined with other medications that enhance urine production because it can lead to dehydration and low blood pressure
- Medicines that lower blood sugar levels, such as insulin or 'sulphonylurea' medicines, should not be combined with it because very low blood sugar can occur
- It is not indicated to use it with cimetidine because it alters the excretion rate of the active metformin in this medicine and can boost its level in the blood
- It is not to be taken with asthma or arthritis treatments because they can raise blood sugar levels to dangerously high levels
- Medicines for high blood pressure should not be taken together since they can raise the risk of lactic acidosis in the body
- Avoid taking ibuprofen or celecoxib with it as they may interact to cause dangerously high blood glucose levels
Storage and disposal of Justoza M 10/500mg Strip Of 10 Tablets
Justoza M should be stored at temperatures between 20°C to 25°C (68°F to 77°F); slight fluctuations of 15°C to 30°C (59°F to 86°F) will be okay. Ensure that it is out of sight and reach of minors. Do not use the tablets after the expiration date. Do not throw the leftover medicine away in the garbage or flush it down the drain. Ask your pharmacist how to properly dispose of old medications....

Overdose
