Medical Description
Junior Lanzol 15 Tablet is a paediatric medicine used to treat acidity, heartburn, and acid-related stomach problems in children. It contains lansoprazole, which belongs to the class of proton pump inhibitors (PPIs). This medicine works by reducing the excess acid produced in the stomach, thereby providing relief from discomfort and improving digestion.
The dosage of Junior Lanzol 15 is carefully decided by the doctor based on the child’s age, weight, and medical condition. Parents should ensure that the medicine is given only under adult supervision and strictly in the prescribed amount. It is important not to increase or decrease the dose on your own, as this may affect the effectiveness of the treatment.
By lowering acid secretion, Junior Lanzol 15 helps in the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), stomach ulcers, and other acid-related issues. With proper use, it provides long-lasting relief from symptoms like heartburn, regurgitation, and abdominal discomfort in children.
Like all medicines, Junior Lanzol 15 may cause some side effects such as headache, nausea, abdominal pain, or diarrhoea. These are usually mild and temporary, but if they persist or become bothersome, parents should consult the doctor immediately. It is also important to inform the doctor about any ongoing medications or supplements the child is taking to avoid possible drug interactions.
Other commonly available medicines that contain lansoprazole include Lan 15 capsule, Lanzoprax Kid 15 tablet and Lanstez 15 tablet. However, Junior Lanzol 15 is specially formulated for children and should only be used when prescribed by a paediatrician for safe and effective treatment.
