Description

Jaldhos Oral Drop is used for temporary relief of symptoms of the common cold and allergic rhinitis. It helps relieve symptoms such as a runny or stuffy nose, sneezing, and throat irritation. Jaldhos

Oral Drop contains chlorpheniramine and phenylephrine as active ingredients. Chlorpheniramine is an antihistamine, and phenylephrine is a decongestant. You should give this Oral Drop as advised by your doctor for maximum benefits and avoid giving it for a prolonged duration when not required. According to the advisory issued by the Union Health Ministry, cough and cold medications should not be prescribed or dispensed to children under two years of age. These medications are generally not recommended for children under five years old. For children above that age, any use should be based on careful clinical evaluation and close supervision.

  • If your child is suffering from high blood pressure or heart disease.
  • If your child has diabetes, increased pressure inside the eyes (glaucoma).
  • If your child is suffering from an overactive thyroid gland and breathing problems like bronchitis.

Interactions with other medicines

  • Medicines used to treat brain disorders or psychiatric illness should not be used with Jaldhos as it can lead to a risk of heart-related side effects or increased blood pressure.
  • Jaldhos can reduce the effectiveness of antihypertensive medications and can cause a sudden increase in blood pressure.
  • Jaldhos should not be taken along with medicines used to treat heart failure, such as digoxin, as it can increase the risk of irregular heartbeat or heart attack.
  • Phenytoin and ergot-containing medicines should not be consumed along with Jaldhos as it can lead to toxicity.
