Ivig Injection is a solution of antibodies that is used to strengthen the body's natural immune system. Antibodies are proteins that protect the individual against infection. Ivig Injection contains
antibodies prepared from the plasma (a part of the blood) of healthy volunteers as the active substance. It is used in those individuals who are at risk of infection or who have no other way of gaining immunity, either naturally or artificially (vaccine). Ivig Injection is a solution of antibodies that restores antibody levels in the blood to their normal levels. This prepares the body's defense system to fight against germs that cause infection.
Directions for Use
- Ivig Injection will be given by your doctor or nurse.
- Do not self-inject this medicine. Follow any aftercare instructions given by the doctor or nurse.
Interactions
Interactions with other medicines
- Some medicines can affect the way Ivig Injection works or Ivig Injection itself can reduce the effectiveness of other medicines taken at the same time.
- Tell your doctor about all medicines, supplements, or herbals you are currently taking or might take to avoid any possible interaction.
