Ist 20 MG Description

Ist 20 mg Tablet is used to relax the uterus. Preventing the premature or preterm delivery of the baby in pregnant women in the main use of Ist 20 mg Tablet. This medicine is also used to manage symp

toms of peripheral blood vessel disorders such as arteriosclerosis (blockage of arteries), Buerger's disease, and Raynaud's syndrome. Ist 20 mg Tablet is composed of Isoxsuprine as its main ingredient. The mode of action or Ist 20 mg Tablet is to relax smooth muscles and blood vessels in peripheral areas, which results in relaxing smooth muscles of the uterus as well as the walls of blood vessels. This medicine can also be used to lower the symptoms of Dysmenorrhea (pain during menstruation due to uterine contractions). Follow your doctor’s directions for using Ist 20 mg Tablet exactly. It is recommended not to perform activities that require mental focus due to the risk of dizziness, which is a major side effect of Ist 20Tablets.

Uses of Ist 20 MG

  • As per CDSCO, the Ist Tablet is used:
  • In managing many peripheral vascular diseases such as,
  • Cerebrovascular insufficiency - low blood flow to the brain and its blood vessels.
  • Peripheral vascular disease of arteriosclerosis obliterans - affecting the abdominal aorta and the small- and medium-sized arteries of the lower extremities
  • Thromboangiitis obliterans (Buerger's disease) - blood vessels become inflamed, swell and can become blocked with blood clots
  • Raynaud's disease - causes some areas of your body, such as your fingers and toes, to feel numb and cold
  • In preventing preterm delivery and labour.

Contraindications of Ist 20 MG

  • If you have a known hypersensitive reaction, Isoxsuprine or any of the components of this medicine.
  • If you have a history of any bleeding disorder, such as postpartum bleeding. This medicine can increase blood flow and increase the risk of bleeding.
  • If you have any severe heart disease or hypertension (high blood pressure).
  • If you are breastfeeding.
  • If you have any history of stroke or transient ischemic attacks (TIA), which are small strokes.
  • If you have any condition that results in hardening of the arteries.
  • If you have an eye disorder that increases the fluid pressure in the eye, such as glaucoma.
  • If you have recently gone through an excessive bleeding situation.
  • If you have abnormally low blood pressure.
  • If you are bleeding through an artery.
