Isolazine Tablet

• If you are allergic to Isolazine tablets or their other ingredients.
• It should not be used in patients taking medicines containing sildenafil, avanafil, tadalafil or vardenafil (used for treating erectile dysfunction in men).
• If you are taking a medicine called riociguat which is used to treat high blood pressure in the lungs (pulmonary hypertension).

• Headache
• Dizziness
• Nausea
• Fatigue
• Low blood pressure

Other General Warnings

• You have heart-related problems.
• You have severe kidney or liver problems.
• You are having any surgery.
• You have glaucoma (increased pressure in the eye).
• You are undernourished.
• You are suffering from hypothermia (a condition in which your body loses heat faster than it can produce).
• You have suffered from bleeding in the brain.
• You have an underactive thyroid gland.
• You experience headache, nausea, dizziness, fainting (symptomatic hypotension).
• You experience any abnormal sensation on your skin such as numbness and tingling.
• You have systemic lupus erythematosus (an autoimmune disorder), this medicine may induce this condition.
• You suffer from a deficiency of an enzyme called glucose 6 phosphate dehydrogenase.

• Take the Isolazine tablets as directed by your doctor.
• Swallow it as a whole with water.
• Do not chew or break the tablet.
• To get the optimal results take it at a fixed time.

• Store the Isolazine tablets below 30°C temperature.
• Protect it from light and moisture.
• Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.

• Isolazine Tablet eases the work of a failing heart by widening both the veins and the arteries.
• Never take sildenafil, tadalafil, vardenafil or riociguat with this medicine; the combination can be fatal.
• Tell every doctor and dentist that you take a nitrate before any new medicine is prescribed.
• Headache is common in the first days and usually settles; paracetamol helps.
• Stand up slowly from sitting or lying, especially in hot weather or after a bath.
• Avoid alcohol, which adds to dizziness and the risk of falls.
• Weigh yourself each morning and report a gain of two kilograms or more over two to three days.
• Report joint pain with fever, rash or unexplained tiredness, which may indicate a lupus-like reaction.
• Report tingling or numbness in the hands or feet, which may respond to vitamin B6.
• Reduce salt and follow any fluid limit your doctor has set.
• Never stop this medicine suddenly, even if you feel well.

• Isolazine Tablet may be taken with or without food, but keep the pattern consistent from day to day so the effect remains steady. Taking it with food can reduce nausea.
• Alcohol should be avoided or kept minimal, as it adds substantially to dizziness and the risk of fainting and falls.
• Reduce salt, which is one of the most effective dietary measures in heart failure. Limit pickles, papads, packaged snacks, processed meats and restaurant food, and avoid adding salt at the table.
• Follow any daily fluid limit your doctor has set, and weigh yourself every morning to catch fluid retention early.
• Rise slowly after meals, as blood pressure can dip further during digestion, particularly after a large meal.
• If you develop tingling in the hands or feet, ask your doctor about vitamin B6, as hydralazine can interfere with it.
