Heam Forte Capsules

• If you are allergic to ascorbic acid, carbonyl iron, cyanocobalamin, folic acid, zinc or any other ingredients of the Heam Forte capsule.
• If you are allergic to peanuts or soya beans.

• Nausea
• Vomiting
• Abdominal pain
• Constipation

• The capsule can be taken with or without food and swallowed whole with a glass of water.
• Take it at the same time for better results.

• Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.
• Keep it out of reach of children and pets.

• Take the capsule exactly as prescribed by your doctor.
• Swallow whole with water; do not crush or chew.
• Best taken with or after meals to reduce stomach upset.
• Avoid tea, coffee, or milk around the time of taking iron supplements to improve absorption.
• Do not exceed the recommended dose to avoid side effects.
• Inform your doctor about all other medicines or supplements you’re taking.
• Store in a cool, dry place away from sunlight and out of reach of children.
• If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. Unless it is near the next scheduled dose time, do not double the dose.
• Consult your doctor before using if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have allergies.
• Keep taking the capsules for the full course even if you start feeling better.

• Carbonyl iron, as a constituent of haemoglobin, plays an essential role in oxygen transport. It is also present in the muscle protein myoglobin and in the liver. A deficiency of iron leads to anaemia.
• Cyanocobalamin (Vitamin B12) helps your body make healthy red blood cells and supports normal brain and nerve function. It works in conjunction with other nutrients, such as folate, to help create DNA and convert food into energy. It also helps turn certain chemicals in the body into useful forms. When there's not enough Vitamin B12, the body can't produce red blood cells properly, which can lead to a type of anaemia called megaloblastic anaemia, causing tiredness and weakness.

Interactions with other medicines

• Folic acid can reduce the plasma concentration of phenytoin.
• Oral iron and zinc sulfate reduce the absorption of tetracyclines.
