Glucobay M 25mg Strip Of 10 Tablets
Description
Glucobay M tablet is an antidiabetic medicine used to help control high blood sugar levels in people with type 2 diabetes. This condition occurs when the body is not able to use insulin properly, leading to increased sugar levels in the blood. Keeping blood sugar under control is important to prevent long-term complications such as damage to the heart, kidneys, nerves, and eyes.
It contains two active ingredients, acarbose and metformin, which work together to improve blood sugar control. Metformin helps reduce the amount of sugar produced by the liver and improves the body’s ability to use insulin effectively. Acarbose works in the intestine by slowing down the breakdown and absorption of carbohydrates from food, which helps prevent sudden spikes in blood sugar after meals.
This medicine is usually recommended when diet, exercise, and other medicines alone are not enough to control blood sugar levels. It helps maintain more stable sugar levels throughout the day and supports overall diabetes management when taken regularly as prescribed by your doctor.
For best results, Glucobay M tablet should be taken along with a healthy diet, regular physical activity, and lifestyle changes advised by your doctor. Do not stop or change the dose without medical advice, as proper and consistent use is important for effective blood sugar control.

- Acarbose works by reducing or slowing down the action of certain enzymes in the intestine and thereby reduces the breakdown of carbohydrates present in the food to simpler sugars and its release in the bloodstream. Therefore it helps in reducing post-meal sugar spikes....
