Gardenal 60 MG Description

Gardenal 60 mg is a prescription medication for seizure disorders. It is composed of phenobarbital. It is an antiepileptic medicine, which belongs to a group of drugs called barbiturates. It increase

s a certain chemical messenger in the brain, which helps reduce the abnormal electrical activity in the brain and tackle the symptoms. Seizures are caused when sudden, abnormal and uncontrolled electrical activities occur in the brain. It can change your behaviour and levels of consciousness. Gardenal tablets reduce these activities in the brain and the symptoms of seizures. This medicine can have certain side effects like drowsiness, sexual dysfunction, etc. Consult your doctor if you have any of the symptoms for a long duration. This medicine has the potential to cause addiction. Do not stop taking the medication without consulting your doctor, as it can cause withdrawal symptoms like sweating, tremors, dizziness, irritability, etc. The dose of Gardenal should be monitored, as you may experience depression, mood problems, suicidal thoughts, etc., when used for a long duration. You should not drink or drive after taking this. It can be given to children for a short-term to treat epilepsy, but only after consulting a doctor.
