- You are an elderly patient, the dose of the Gardenal 60 mg tablet should be carefully monitored.
- You see any skin reaction, immediately consult your doctor, as this medicine can cause serious skin conditions like Steven-johnson syndrome and toxic epidermal necrolysis (life-threatening skin conditions)
- Do not suddenly stop using the Gardenal tablet, as it can cause withdrawal symptoms like tremors, sweating, irritability, vomiting, etc. It can also cause life-threatening seizures.
- If you are having any self-harming or suicidal thoughts, stop using this medicine and seek medical help.
- This medicine can reduce the effectiveness of oral contraceptives.
Directions for Use
- Take the Gardenal 60 tablets exactly as prescribed by the doctor.
- Do not exceed the recommended dosage.
- You can take it with or without consuming food.
- Do not break this tablet or chew it.
- Take the tablet as a whole with a glass of water.
- Do not take it with other medications without informing your doctor.
- Do not take if the package has been opened.
- Do not stop taking this medication abruptly, as it can have adverse effects.

- Symptoms of a Gardenal tablet overdose include: blurred or double vision, rapid side-to-side movement of eyes (nystagmus), drowsiness, tiredness, fainting, confusion, dizziness, nausea, rash, shock (extremely low blood pressure), slowed or absent breathing, stupor (decreased level of alertness), slurred speech, weakness, uncoordinated movements and coma. If you overdose on this medicine and experience any of these symptoms, immediately seek emergency medical treatment from a nearby hospital.

Interactions with other medicines
- Tell your doctor about all your ongoing medications before taking Gardenal tablets, as it can cause medicinal reactions of some of them.
- Some medicines, like anti-HIV medication (darunavir, etravirine, orlistat, rilpivirine), can cause side effects with Gardenal 60.
- If you are using sleep-inducing agents like cough medicine, antihistamines, opioid painkillers, sleeping pills, muscle relaxants, the Gardenal tablet can worsen the severity of drowsiness.
Interactions with food items
- Do not take the Gardenal 60 mg tablets with alcohol. It can worsen the condition. It can also interfere with the effects of the medicine and increase the severity of side effects like drowsiness, dizziness, mood disorders, tremors, etc.
