Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

^

Q: What is neuropathic pain? How can I differentiate it from muscle pain?

A: Neuropathic pain occurs due to damage or injury of the nerves responsible for transferring information to the brain and spinal cord from the skin, muscles and other body parts. It is spontaneous in origin and occurs in the absence of any injury or trauma. Typically, the pain feels like burning, stabbing and shooting. The patient may describe it as 'pins and needles'. It is usually associated with nerve damage due to surgery or trauma, viral infections, cancer, vascular malformations and diabetes. It may also be a side effect of certain medications.

Q: Is there anything else I need to know before using Gabaneuron 100 mg tablet?

  • When you are taking Gabaneuron, it is advised to use contraception to avoid pregnancy.
  • Components of this medicine can cause dependence and you are advised to be cautious if you are taking this medicine for a long period.
  • Gabaneuron should not be stopped suddenly and a gradual reduction of the dose is advisable to avoid side effects like fits and other mental problems.

Q: Is Gabaneuron a painkiller?

A: It is used to treat pain associated with nerve damage in the brain. This pain is not cured by normal painkillers. Avoid using it as a normal painkiller and must take this medicine only if prescribed by the doctor.

Q: When should I take Gabaneuron 100?

A: You should take Gabaneuron 100 exactly as told by the doctor. This medicine can be taken with or without meals at any time of the day. But it would be best if taken at the same time each day and before bed time for maximum results.

Q: How long should I take Gabaneuron?

A: Gabaneuron can be taken for as long as the doctor has prescribed you. Usually, the dose and duration of Gabaneuron will be decided by the doctor based on the severity of the underlying condition. Do not exceed the maximum daily doses and treatment durations recommended, without consulting a doctor.

Q: What are the side effects of Gabaneuron?

A: Headache, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, dry mouth, fatigue, etc., are a few side effects that can be seen during the treatment with Gabaneuron. However, these symptoms are usually mild and resolve on their own. Also, it is not important that everyone experiences the same.

Q: What is the dose of Gabaneuron?

A: The dose and frequency of Gabaneuron vary among individuals depending on the condition it is being taken for. You should not consume more than the recommended daily dose by the doctor.
