Frext 50 MG Description

Frext Tablet is a prescription medication. It is used for the management of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and its symptoms in adults and children. It has Fluvoxamine as its active ingredient. I

t is an antidepressant medication, and treating depression in adults is one of the uses of Frext tablets. Obsessive-compulsive disorder or OCD causes repetitive thoughts and behaviour patterns, which can cause problems in day-to-day life. The mode of action of Frext Tablets works by calming overworked nerves in the brain and improving mood and behaviour. There are potential side effects of Frext tablets, so the dose and effects must be carefully monitored. Frext tablet can cause suicidal thoughts and behaviour in children, adolescents, and young adults taking antidepressants. It is approved for use in children only for OCD and not depression. This medicine can cause dependency. The dose should be carefully monitored in liver failure patients. The dose should be gradually lowered if you want to stop using the Frext tablet. Otherwise, it can lead to withdrawal symptoms, such as tremors, palpitations, sleep disturbances, anxiety, etc.

  • As per CDSCO and USFDA, Frext tablet is used for the following:
  • Treatment of repetitive thoughts and actions in OCD in adults and children.
  • Treatment of symptoms associated with major depressive disorder only in adults.

  • If you have a mild liver condition, Frext Tablet should be approached with caution. It is not recommended if you have end-stage liver disease.
