Forcox tablets to prevent and treat tuberculosis. Tuberculosis is an infection caused by bacteria that affects the lungs in most cases. It can also cause disease in the brain, bones, and abdominal or
gans. The Forcox tablet prevents the growth of tuberculosis-causing bacteria and kills them. Forcox tablets belong to the group of medicines called anti-tuberculous drugs. It is a fixed-dose combination of four ingredients: Isoniazid, Rifampicin, Pyrazinamide, and Ethambutol. This medicine can eradicate the tuberculous bacteria from the body and cure the infection completely. In addition, fixed-dose combinations of these four medicines facilitate the intake of adequate doses of all the constituent medicines, make it easy to complete the course of treatment and reduce the chance of developing resistance to these drugs.

- If you have a history of allergy to any of the active or inactive ingredients in Forcox.
- If you have any disorder of vision.
- If you have acute gout.
- If you have liver disease.
- If you have kidney disease.
- If you are using medicines to treat HIV.
- If you have been drinking alcohol.

- Share with your doctor if you have taken any medicine in the past for tuberculosis.
- It is a fast-acting medicine. You may feel much better before the completion of the course. Do not stop the medicine till you complete the treatment regimen as advised by your healthcare provider. It may cause infection to come back, or drugs become ineffective....

How Does It Work?
Directions for Use of Forcox Tablet 6
- You should use Forcox as advised by your doctor.
- Take it on an empty stomach, preferably one hour before meals or two hours after meals. Food may decrease the absorption of some ingredients in Forcox.
- Take medicine with water.
- In case you are taking antacids, keep a gap of one hour between antacid and Forcox.
- Take the medication daily at the same time; avoid missing the dose. Maintaining the same time also helps in following the dosage schedule correctly.
- Swallow the tablet whole. Refrain from crushing or chewing the tablet.
- Complete the full course of medicine as provided by your healthcare provider. You should not stop it even if you start feeling better. Stopping the medicine before completing the course may result in incomplete treatment and recurrence of infection....

Interactions with food items
- Forcox interactions with food
- You can continue with the usual diet. However, avoid food containing histamine or tyramine such as cheese, tuna, salmon, and soya.
- It should be taken without food, keeping a gap of one to two hours between the medicine and food.
- You should not take alcohol when taking this medicine. Taking alcohol along with it may result in nausea, vomiting, headache and dizziness.
