The composition of Fexostat 40mg Tab is the medicine febuxostat. It is used for a condition called gout, which is characterized by an increase in a chemical called uric acid in the body.

Mode of Action of Fexostat 40mg Tab

How Does It Work?

The medicine works by inhibiting an enzyme (xanthine oxidase) which is responsible for the production of uric acid. As a result, the level of uric acid in the body is decreased.

Directions for Use of Fexostat 40mg Tab

Take Fexostat 40mg Tab as directed by your physician. Do not self-medicate or follow your own dosage of this medicine. When you start treatment with this medicine, you may get gout flare-up; continue taking the medicine as the flare-ups should eventually subside.
