Eufox O tablet is a combination of two antibiotics containing ofloxacin and ornidazole. It is used the treat infections caused by bacteria or parasites. The medication effectively treats infections o
f the lungs, gastrointestinal and urinary tract. Do not take more than the prescribed dose. If you observe any severe side effects, contact your doctor immediately or rush to the nearest hospital. Store the medication in a cool and dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture.

How Does It Work?
The medication contains two antibiotics; ofloxacin which works by inhibiting DNA replication of the bacteria, and ornidazole works by disrupting the DNA replication of the aerobic bacteria and parasites....
Directions for Use of Eufox O Tablets
- Only the doctor can prescribe you this medication
- Take the medication in the dose and for the duration advised by your doctor
- Do not chew, crush or break the tablet in half
- Swallow the tablet as a whole with a glass of water
Interactions of Eufox O Tablets
Interactions with other medicines
- Eufox O tablet should not be used with antacids, NSAID's which can result in reduced effectiveness of the antibiotic due to reduced absorption of ofloxacin
- Eufox O tablet should not be given with anti-arrhythmia, warfarin, or diuretics, which can result in toxicity, prolong QT interval, and increase bleeding risks
- Co-administration of ornidazole with coumarin-type oral anticoagulants may potentiate the effect of the anticoagulants
- Caution must be exercised when taking this medication with lithium, cimetidine and phenytoin
- Prolongation of the muscle relaxant effect of vecuronium bromide is observed when taken with ornidazole
- Co-administration of probenecid, cimetidine and furosemide with ofloxacin decreases the total clearance of ofloxacin
- Glibenclamide when taken with this medication may increase the plasma glibenclamide levels when administered concurrently

- Patients with a history of seizures should not use Eufox O
- Patients with impaired kidney or liver function
- Patients with a resistance of fluoroquinolones to E.coli
- Patients with S.pnemoniae should not use Eufox O

- Store below 30°C in a cool and dry place
- Keep the medication away from moisture and direct sunlight
- Keep away from children and pets
- Do not flush the unused tablets or discard them in household waste
- Talk to your pharmacist about a safe way of discarding the unused or expired medications
Dosage of Eufox O Tablets
Overdose
Overdosing can result in confusion, dizziness, QT prolongation, hallucination and tremor. Report to your doctor immediately or rush to the nearest hospital.
Missed a Dose
If the dose is missed, the medication should be taken as soon as possible. Make sure you have the proper time interval between two doses. If the time interval is near the second dose, skip the previous dose and follow the regular schedule....
