Esomefol 40mg Strip Of 10 Tablets
Description
Esomefol Tablet is a medicine commonly prescribed to treat stomach and digestive system problems related to excess acid. It is primarily used to treat acid reflux disease (GERD), stomach ulcers, and intestinal ulcers. Doctors also recommend it as part of combination therapy to eradicate Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) infection, a bacterium that increases the risk of ulcer formation.
This medicine contains esomeprazole as its active ingredient, a member of the class of drugs known as proton pump inhibitors (PPIs). Esomefol Tablet works by reducing the amount of acid produced in the stomach. By lowering stomach acid levels, it helps relieve symptoms like heartburn, acidity, indigestion, and stomach discomfort, while also allowing ulcers or irritated areas in the stomach and intestines to heal.
Esomefol Tablet is also prescribed for Zollinger–Ellison syndrome, a rare condition in which the pancreas produces tumours that cause excessive stomach acid. By controlling acid secretion, this medicine protects the stomach lining and prevents complications such as severe ulcers or bleeding.
You should take Esomefol Tablet exactly as advised by your doctor or pharmacist. It is usually recommended to take the tablet on an empty stomach, at least one hour before a meal, for better absorption and effectiveness. Do not change the dose or stop the treatment suddenly without medical advice, even if you start feeling better.
Before starting Esomefol Tablet, inform your doctor about your complete medical history, especially if you have liver problems, vitamin B12 deficiency, or are taking other medicines. Long-term use of PPIs like esomeprazole may increase the risk of bone weakness, low magnesium levels, or certain infections, so regular monitoring is important. Following your doctor’s advice will help you get the maximum benefit from Esomefol Tablet safely.
