Escitapax plus H tablet is a medicine used to treat anxiety disorder. This is a combination medicine that consists of clonazepam and escitalopram oxalate. The most common way of consuming this tablet is through the oral route and swallowing with water.
Escitapax plus H tablet has different interactions with different foods. This medicine should not be consumed with alcohol. This medicine should always be taken at the same time every day.
Anxiety is a condition characterised by a feeling of uneasiness, rapid increase in heartbeats, and excessive sweating. In an anxiety attack, a person often feels fearful of something or some thought. This medicine helps to calm down the anxious human brain. It sends out chemical messengers that help to relax the mind.
Escitapax plus H tablet is a prescription medicine and should never be taken without consultation with the doctor. This medicine should always be taken at the same time every day. One should neither overdose nor skip any dose during the ongoing treatment.

Contraindications
Inform your doctor if you have the following diseases before starting the treatment with Escitapax plus H tablet: Bleeding disorders
Bipolar disorder - a mental situation where there are extreme mood swings
Cardiomyopathy - a condition in which heart muscles are weak
Fever
Mania- having episodes of extreme hyperactivities and delusions
Coma
Dementia- unable to think or remember things
Psychosis - when people experience delusions- see or hear things
Sleep apnea- breathing while sleeping is disturbed
It is not suitable for children and young adults below 18 years of age

Directions for Use

Overdose
- The amount of an overdose depends upon the prescription of the medicine. Symptoms of overdose include tremors, vomiting, convulsions, or in extreme conditions- coma. In case of overdose, they should contact their doctor or nearest hospital as soon as possible. Nonetheless, one should not consume it more than the prescribed amount and dose of the medicine. If someone has accidentally taken them, they should consult their doctor as early as possible. If the overdose has the potential of causing some serious health problems, one should always be careful of the dosing schedule.
Missed a Dose
If someone has missed their prescription dose by mistake, they should take it as soon as possible. However, if it's near time for the next prescribed dose, they should skip the missed dose completely to avoid an overdose of Escitapax plus H tablet.
Mode of Action
How Does It Work?
Escitapax plus H tablet is a combination medicine. It contains two active ingredients, namely clonazepam and escitalopram, which work on two different levels to control anxiety and panic attacks.
Clonazepam is used as an anticonvulsant (used in the treatment of fits- a moment when the body gets rigid and tremors) and a muscle relaxant. It works by decreasing the brain electrical passage of neurons, which causes a state of relaxation. There are three qualities of clonazepam that makes it very effective- its effect is very long, its onset is very instant, and it has no active metabolites, i.e. it leaves no active form of medicine after the body has processed it. The action of clonazepam is mediated through GABA (gamma-aminobutyric acid), which is a neurotransmitter. It acts on inhibitory mechanisms in the brain, thus producing a calmer effect, which helps to lower anxiety.
On the other hand, escitalopram belongs to the class of antidepressants. It works mainly to maintain mental equilibrium by controlling serotonin levels in the brain. Escitalopram increases the amount of serotonin which promotes a state of calmness in the brain.
